Kelsee Melton, M.S., LPC

Licensed Professional   Counselor

& Practice Owner

I specialize in working with children, teens, and their families. I believe my role is to help your family find strength and solutions by creating a safe, accepting environment where we work together to explore problems, identify skills, and gain new insight. Together, we work to restore balance in your family's lives and gain personal acceptance. I use an integrative approach in creating a therapeutic treatment plan to best meet each client’s needs.

I have experience working with adolescents and children struggling with attachment, behavioral concerns, parental divorce, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and grief. I also have experience promoting social and emotional well-being in Pre-School aged children, as well as counseling adults and families. In addition, I also use an integrative approach that builds upon children’s strengths and collaborating with each child and their families to find solutions to life’s challenges.

I view each child and their families as equal partners in the therapeutic process, allowing them to create goals and achieve success through therapy.  Having worked in schools, I know the importance of working from a systemic approach to gain insight and understanding of the roles of each individual in the child’s life to create a healthy functionality as a whole.

I am also trained in Group counseling, TBRI- Trust Based Relational Intervention, and Play Therapy.
